About Me

Hi, I’m Chris Evans (no, not that one) — you might know me from my handle @notcapnamerica. Over the past decade, I’ve built a community of over 280,000 followers across platforms by sharing my unfiltered takes on politics, pop culture, live-tweeting movies, and everything in between, always with a sharp wit and a focus on driving meaningful change.

I’ve been fortunate to use my platform for impact, from raising over $200,000 to help elect Ritchie Torres, the first Black gay man in Congress, to serving as a surrogate for Kamala Harris during her 2020 presidential campaign. I participated in the “Win With Black Men” movement, contributing to a historic event that raised $1.4 million for political and community causes. My commentary has earned features in the Washington Post, Rolling Stone, and Daily Beast, among others.

As an influencer, I’ve partnered with major studios like Lionsgate and TriStar to promote several motion pictures, blending my passion for film with my digital reach. In addition to my online presence, I’m a co-founder of a thriving talent management company where I champion diverse indie talent in film and TV, breaking barriers as one of the few Black talent managers in Hollywood. I’ve recently stepped into producing movies and exploring creative writing as new ways to tell stories that matter.

This website is the next step in my journey—a place where I share my favorite TV shows, movies, books, and podcasts. Whether you’ve been following me for years or are just discovering my work, I’m excited to connect with you here as I continue to expand my creative horizons.
